Mary Ann Pierce, President

Since 1997, Mary Ann Pierce has produced integrated digital events for J.P. Morgan, Deutsche Bank, Lehman Brothers, Morgan Stanley, The Wall Street Journal, Novartis, Pfizer, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, and New York University, among others. For two years, she was an adjunct professor at New York University where she lectured on Internet solutions for the Meetings Industry. Mary Ann is a frequent speaker at Industry conferences such as Meeting World, MPI Conferences, The Special Event, Corporate Travel World, SITE's, and Beyond Borders, and has published and has been featured in a number of trade articles: Mary Ann Pierce spent over ten years in creative services and production in Corporate Communications for Jack Morton Worldwide, Caribiner, and Imero Fiorentino Associates. She was the Managing Director of the Atlantic Theater Company, Marketing Director for P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center (MOMA), and copywriter for Wunderman, a direct marketing agency.

Arnold J. Shaw, Chief Marketing Officer

Arnold is responsible for new business development; client strategy and program development for digital events; and integrated communications initiatives. Prior to joining MAP Digital, Arnold had been the president of Shaw Marketing Communications, an integrated marketing communications consultancy. Shaw services included marcom strategy development, corporate communications consultation and planning, corporate communications reviews and audits, industry marketing programs, corporate events marketing and development, and trade show planning, design and implementation. Some Shaw corporate clients included Gulfstream Aerospace, NetJets, Inc. (Div. of Berkshire Hathaway), Xerox, Sony, AT&T, AT&T Microelectronics, Bell Labs, Lucent Technologies, Madison Square Garden and the USIA.

Arnold established Shaw Marketing Communications in 1992. Earlier, Arnold held senior marketing communications, strategic communications, business development and major account management positions at AT&T, Litton Industries, DMB&B. Shaw was a strategic marketing partner of Imero Fiorentino Associates, TDO Communications and was Director, Marketing/Event Communications Services at Jack Morton Worldwide. He was also a principal of Performance Communications Incorporated.

Meghan Swift, Executive Producer

Meghan Swift supervised the development of MAP Digital's MetaMeetings™ suite of integrated database solutions: Registration and Badging, Webcasting, Digital Signage, Social Networking and AV/Presentation and Attendee Information Portals. Meghan is the Account Executive and Producer for J.P. Morgan Investor Conferences in North America. She is responsible for the deployment of MetaMeetings. as well as equipment, computers, printers, bandwidth provisioning, networking, and onsite management. She has a BFA in Theater Production and Management from Emerson College, Boston, Massachusetts. She has worked with a number of AEA Theater Companies, and in administration at Harvard University's Office of the Arts. Her stage management skills enhance her effectiveness as Project Manager of networked, interactive, Smart Events for MAP Digital.

Kenneth G. Chin, Creative Director

Kenneth Chin is a Fine Arts graduate of the School of Visual Arts, with a strong background in applications programming. He has developed Web sites and MetaMeetings™ applications for MAP Digital to facilitate the management, production and Webcasting of events. Kenneth's skills in visual communications and information technology have consistently delivered quality custom solutions for our clients.

Iva Kalikow, Data Manager

Iva Kalikow has a BFA from the School of Visual Arts. She was a leader in the development of interactive programming for Time Warner Interactive and prior worked many years in film and television production. She also worked as an events coordinator for Jack Morton Worldwide, designing websites, speaker support and managing the acquisition and creation of both graphics and video assets for clients' presentations. Iva has been instrumental working with Kenneth Chin in the creation of MetaMeetings™ and as Data Manager is responsible for processing and managing data and graphics for all our clients websites, webcasts and registration solutions including Speaker Support, AV/Presentations Portal, Webcast Database and E-commerce.

Michael Pierce, Director of Business Development

For over 20 years, Michael has planned and managed tradeshows, conferences and public relations specializing in the hospitality and foodservice industries. With a background in finance and a CPA, he has served for 15 years as senior vice president of Primavera Public Relations and was responsible for integrating the creative and financial aspects of all conferences, conventions and special events. For MAP Digital, Michael supervises all financial services.

Eric Jacobson, Senior Engineer

Eric Jacobson has been working in the computer industry for nearly twenty years and has extensive experience with both computer system setup and maintenance and the engineering and support of computer networks. Eric specializes in technology for the financial industry and in the three years that he worked directly for the JP Morgan Chase Information Technology department where he was the chief engineer of the security infrastructure and desktop computer systems utilized at the San Francisco based JPMorgan Equity Conferences. Onsite at JPMorgan Investment Banking Conference, Eric supervises the JPMorgan Virtual Private Network LAN, Wireless access and the Interactive Audience Information Portal.

Dale Amon, Linux Engineer

Dale Amon is a graduate of Carnegie-Mellon University, Electrical Engineering Department. With a minor in Cognitive Psychology and three semesters of graduate work under Dr. Herbert Simon (Nobel laureate) in a multidisciplinary program involving Psychology, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Departments. He left Carnegie-Mellon to join a startup company, Compuguard Corporation (Brown Boveri Compuguard as of 1980). As Firmware Department Manager, Dale was the design leader on state-of-the-art distributed process control system with distributed process database and handled issues of operation, link loss, local autonomy, database coherency. In the mid-80's Dale returned to Carnegie-Mellon as a research associate in Robotic Institute and Computer Science departments. In the 90's Dale was Technical Director of the Genesis Project Ltd (NI), Northern Ireland's first commercial Internet Service Provider. Since leaving Genesis Project, Dale has worked as a high-end Internet consultant of Debian and other Linux based systems, security and application software development. He guards over MAP Digital's Network both onsite and remotely.
